try swapon -s to list your swap partitions. as for swap size, i think it all depends on what the box will be used for. in a production environment, with apache or db's on it, i'd go with double the size of ram at least. for a box at home that does ppp, X, netscape and compiling a few things, the size of ram is adequate. i once tried booting linux without swap, and it worked, but i didn't wait and see what happened when it ran out of ram! haha! good luck! jason > > Is there a way to list your swap partitions and files?
