HP usually does well with linux. That said, it may not perform using all
the features. I've gotten a number of unlisted printers to work fine. You
can usually try using a similar model, or at least one that uses the same
PCL version. If your printer handles post script, then you can also use the
generic post script printer filter as well. Just run printtool and look
through the choices.
