Virus are mostly not an issue under Linux. You may want to get a virus
checker for e-mail servers, mostly to avoid problems on clients running
Windows.

Regarding defragmentation, well, that is done mostly automatically on Linux.
Actually, the problem would be when you *do not* want to defrag (for
instance, if you would like to add the capability of undeleting files in
your system). But there are some alternatives to this (as it always happens
with Open Source, you got options!!! =) ).
