All it means is that dependencies haven't been satisfied.. or that's as I
remember. This is a sound module, if I remember correctly.. and I remember
some talk about it recently. If sound_core and sound aren't installed.. or
if they don't exist.. it'll prolly result in this way.
check your /etc/conf.modules and make sure there isn't any funky things
getting loaded... other than that you should be able to ignore it.. I
think.
As far as kernel compilation goes... It's always best to compile a kernel
to fit your system. RedHat just provides one which will work halfway
decently on most systems... but if you want anything solid, then you're
best off running through a compile or two on your own :)
I prefer to have everything built right into the kernel.. or as many
things as possible. Modules scare me at times :)
