That's just silly.  Jerry was asking if he could install Linux on an old
machine with a 20MB drive in order to learn C++.  We assume two things
from this request:  He does not have Linux installed already, or he would
use that installation to learn C++.  He does not know much about
programming.

You've asked him to BUILD his own distribution to run in 20MB.  How's that
supposed to happen?  He doesn't have a linux box to build anything.

Yes, Linux can be made to run in limited resource environments, like
handhelds (or even watches). However, this is done by programmers who know
how to configure a kernel for minimal memory use, who can remove the
unnecessary parts of glibc to make it store in less space, and who have
compilers to do so.  The important part of the rant?  Reduced resource 
environments don't include development environments!  They're too
big.  Does this match Jerry's "I want to learn C++" request?
