No, I don't think so. The compilers alone are around 9MB, the base system
development libraries are around 70.

/dev files are very small :)

You've two good choices:
Buy a bigger hard drive and dual boot on the machine you're using
now. Drives are cheap: 2GB for $40, 5GB fro $60, 20GB for $85.
Give up some of the space on the drive you're using now. either partition
the drive in two, or delete windows entirely, and install Linux on that
disk.
