I've got a problem with SSH -- I've got the SSH for windows
client and my linux box is running ssh2 (also has ssh1
capability.)
Now all of a sudden, I can't log into my linux box with ssh
any more from any of the machines on my lan. It gives me an
authentication error and then another box pops up that says
no more authentication methods are available. I *know* my
username and password are correct, and I"ve triple-checked
that the IP addresses of the machines on my LAN are in the
"hosts.allow" file, but still no go.
I've also determined that this appears to be an SSH2
problem, as an ssh1 client I have works fine. I've been to
the support page which explains how to get your public key
copied over to the linux box and all that. I followed those
instructions to the letter (thank goodness for VNC!) and
that still didn't work! :-(
A friend said he thought it was a DNS problem, but if it
was working up until a few days ago, why isn't it now?
Thanks...
John
