Why can I not run these utilities from a shell prompt (as root)? I installed
network-tools RPM and it sent the files to /sbin, but they don't run. I
finally figured out that RH6.2 does not install these automatically with
Gnome installation. I'm troubleshooting DHCP setup and all of the How-to's
have you working with ifconfig.
BTW, the Gnome RPM manager lists a bunch of the RPM's with a "(S)" after the
name. What's that?
