Why is it that everyone thinks that Red Hat is involved in some sort of
marketing conspiracy?  Look at the history of releases.  They've been
making a steady pattern of releases for at least four and a half years
(slightly longer than I've been using Red Hat).

There are three binary compatible releases at an interval of 6
months.  After a year and a half, a new major release is made, and Red Hat
moves on to the latest technology (for better or worse, perhaps :)

I'm sure that Red Hat 7 won't be sort of major changes ( glibc 2.2,
updates to kernel 2.4 when it's out, XFree 4.0.1, plenty of other libs )
