Hi,
There was a loadlin.exe and txt file explaining it at this site. (I was
using the old version to make use of an old
486 with only 4meg of ram)
ftp://ftp.slackware.com/pub/slackware/slackware-3.3/kernels/
You would need to be sure you used the correct file
and partition names but it should work. It has
the dos Loadlin.exe file and a text file explaining
how it works. You could try looking at slackware's
site or elsewhere to see if you can find a more current version.
Good Luck

Subject: no sound!!!
Hi everyone,
I've read the FAQ followed the instructions (those I could understand) to no
avail. So help!
Of all the suggestions in the FAQ the most promising was the one that said:
"You can also change your boot method to use Loadlin.exe from Windows (as
windows would then have set up the plug and play hardware). "
How do we do that?
I had previously downloaded the linux driver from "linux.aureal.com" but
even with all your help I get and error.
HELP!
Thanks for all the suggestions,
Benoit Cordoba
