If you want the Linux box to retrieve the mail, and then have them get
their mail from the local machine, fetchmail will translate incomming user
names.  If they are going to get their mail directly from the ISP, then
edit the configuration in Netscape, if that is what they are using...  You
will have to change the settings in Netscape anyway to point to the new
servers...

Now, if you want a quick fix for Linux to make the user names match, that
is easy.  vipw will let you safely edit the password file, and you can
just change the user names.  If you want, you can also change the home
directories, and then rename them to match.  (You have to be root to use
vipw, and to change the names of the home directories.)  As long as you
don't mix up the user names, file onerships and passwords should be just
fine.  I almost forgot - make shure to rename the files in /var/spool/mail
to match the new user names.  I would do this in the single user mode.
