Hi Chris,
If you have access to cute-ftp try putting it in passive mode. I have used
cute-ftp for years on my winXX machines without ever having a problem but I
have always had it in passive mode because of being behind a masq server.
And since I have always been using it to connect to a wu-ftpd I would have
to say that there is something set up wrong on the client end.
Another option is to switch over to pro-ftpd. I have heard nothing but
great things about it and when I get the time I will probably be switching
over myself.
