I'm having trouble with an ftp server (the wu-ftpd-2.6.0-14.6x package
from Redhat) in Redhat 6.2. Basically many ftp client programs (e.g.
CuteFTP, which a great many people seem to insist on using) are not able to
see much of the contents of the server (they seem to randomly be able to
see some files and some directories, but always the same ones). The most
irritating thing about this is that other client programs (e.g. ncftp) are
able to see everything when they connect to the same account. . . The
statement "your client is broken" comes instantly to my mind, but the same
client program seems to work with other ftp servers (?!) and as such the
ball is back in my court so to speak. If someone can suggest a server-side
solution/workaround/kludge that might fix this I would be eternally
greatful (well, perhaps not that long, but I would say really nice things
about you for quite a while).

Someday I'll find that peer and reset his connection!
