As far as I remember (at least for rh6.2 I'm pretty sure) there is a kernel
configuration option to allow long names when using ipx.
As a side issue are you using bindery emulation mode on the file servers? I
tried running ipx on my rh6.1 system but couldn't login to the file servers
(Netware 4.x). Never found out the reason. Sorry no other information about
this either (it was a long time ago). Did you have any problems logging in;
have to do anything to enable logins to work?
