Ik. That sounds annoying (make me glad I'm sticking with
Red Hat 6.1 for now). My first thought is that it might have
something to do with initilization files. My 6.1 box
doesn't have a:
default.el
site-start.el
Did they add one of these with 6.2? Try doing this:
locate default.el
locate site-start.el
The other possibility is that they munged your own personal
.emacs somehow. Take a look in you're home directory, and
see if maybe they renamed your old .emacs something like
.emacs.rpmsave.
