That would mean your glibc is actually *newer*. Now, I'm not too fir on
differences between the different versions, but maybe something got
changed in an incompatible way - I would have to refer that to a more
knowledgable listmember. :-/
However, one possible solution might be to get the SRPM of glib instead
and rebuild it - in that case you could at least be sure that it was
build with the correct glibc.
Why this wasn't caught by rpm, however, is beyond my knowledge...
