In an attempt to get the latest version of XMMS to load, I
followed their instructions and upgraded several libraries
and the -devel libraries that depended on them. The files
upgraded were:
glib-1.2.8-1, glib-deve-1.2.8-1, gtk+-1.2.8-1,
gtk+-devel-1.2.8-1, libxml-1.8.7-0_helix_1 and
libxml-devel-1.8.7-0_helix_1.
Now I'm getting the following error:
error in loading shared libraries: /usr/lib/libglib-1.2.so.0: symbol getpwuid_r,
version GLIBC_2.1.2 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference
How do I fix this error, short of reinstalling? I've re-run
ldconfig, but it didn't appear to make any difference. Is
there a config file I need to change, and if so, what
changed do I need to make? Do I need to add these to my
/etc/ld.so.conf? Here's what I have currently in there:
=============
/usr/X11R6/lib
/usr/lib
/usr/kerberos/lib
/usr/i486-linux-libc5/lib
/usr/lib/gconv
/usr/lib/qt-2.1.0/lib
/usr/lib/qt-1.45/lib
==============
thanks...
John
