I'd like to second that.  Is there a list available somewhere?  I suspect 
it may be on one of the /usr/doc files or one of the networking howto's, 
but I've yet to stumble across it.

Amen!  I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.  I'd have to say 
linuxconf *is* getting better, but I still prefer to edit my config files 
manually too.
