Well, I lost the original message (that this was a reply to), but I've
polished up those scripts.
Connecting to a pptp server using linux was really very easy the first
time I did it, but only because I've used pppd enough to understand it's
many command line options :) Not the kind of thing I want to visit on
others. Instead, I've modified the ssh-vpn scripts I wrote a couple of
weeks ago to handle pptp.
You can now get both the ssh-vpn scripts and the pptp-vpn scripts at
ftp://duke.eburg.com/pub/linux/. pptp-vpn requires the pptp-linux
package to be installed, which you can also get on duke, in the
redhat-6.x-mycontrib/RPMS directory. Download both the pptp-linux rpm
and the pptp-vpn scripts tarball. Instructions for setting up the pptp
scripts is in the README file.
Please test this out. Let me know if the instructions are not clear, or
are wrong. Let me know if the scripts don't work for you. I'll do what
I can to fix stuff that's broken, but they look good from here ;)
