Unidentified subject!

Things seem to be working correctly, but I keep getting this error in my
logs:

Jun 22 09:46:23 tomii ipop3d[1726]: warning: /etc/hosts.allow, line 7: can't
verify hostname: gethostbyname(my.desktop.computer) failed

line 7 of my hosts.allow is -> ALL:powerstation

Is this because I don't have DNS set up?  I would think it would look in my
/etc/hosts file for this...
