'/etc/nsswitch.conf conflict' error

Hi,

I am trying to upgrade a kernel on my RH6.0 machine (current kernel
2.2.5-22). While installing libc5-5.4.46-2.i586.rpm, I am getting the
following error message:
"file /etc/nsswitch.conf from install of libc5-5.4.46-2 conflicts with file
from package glibc-2.1.3-15"

What is the way around it? TIA.
