Why not use Samba instead? The users get to use File->Save and you can
control access via smb.conf. I did this and also installed pam_smb_auth so
authentication is done by the existing NT network. If you don't use NT
for authentication, then you can still control access with Samba, you'll
just have to keep track of user accounts and passwords.
