I am aware of the meaning of the OT in the subject line, and I value everyone's
opinion on the matter. My point in making this comment was that one of the arguements
that was being put forth was that trimming quotes conserved bandwidth, and therefore
we should all do so. I agree with that. However, these long drawn out OT discussions
on a mailing list also consume a good deal of bandwidth. If we are really serious
about conserving bandwidth, then we should do so when possible, even if that means
occasionally taking a thread off the list for further comment.
