I am presently trying to get a Turtle Beach MultiSound Tahiti sound card to work under Redhat 6.2. According to both the Sound_HOWTO and sndconfig, this card is supported by the Linux kernel. It is an ISA card, though not PnP. I believe I have the IRQ, dma, and IO Port selected correctly for this card as I have a dual boot on my machine with Windows 95 [sic] and under Windows, this card performs correctly and plays .wav files. When trying to install this card under Linux with sndconfig however, at the point when sndconfig attempts to play a test sound though the card, the following message is displayed: modprobe error The following error occurred running the modprobe program: /lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/misc/msnd_classic.o: init_module: Device or resource busy. /lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/misc/msnd_classic.o: init_module: insmod /lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/misc/msnd_classic.o: init_module failed /lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/misc/msnd_classic.o: init_module: insmod sound-slot-0 failed. Does anyone have any advice as to how I can proceed? Thank you for your time, Josef Jurek [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject.
