I've noticed that since I upgraded to RH6.1 (kernel 2.2.12-20) my parallel port ZIP drive has stopped working. I read on usenet that I should use: insmod parport insmod ppa insmod lp but there's a snag: parport says that it can't detect any devices and so the subsequent commands are as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike. I've got a working, standard parallel port at 0x3bc and I've not enabled the lpd. Any suggestions pertaining to making the Zip drive work are very welcome.
