Two issues here:

1. About the UPS, this is one of those questions you may want to search
for in the archives. I've seen lots of messages with same questions and
answers on great deals on working UPS systems under Linux. Unfortunately
I don't remember any at this time...

2. If you have your home servers under your bed, you may like trying one
of those switch boxes that allow you to share a single set of monitor,
keyboard and mouse between multiple boxes. I've seen them in Tigerdirect
mail catalogue and in some bargain places on the net.
