As promised, my update to this problem follows my included message below:

Looks like the installation process installs all requested packages, and
then crashes in the "Performing post install configuration".  At this
point, a dialog pops up with "Exception occurred" and then lists various
anaconda-related error messages.  At the bottom of these messages,
appears the message, "SystemError: (101, "Network is unreachable")" in
ConfigNetDevice.

Er, yeah?  So what?  I'll take care of the network configuration
later.  This message should pop up as a warning, not cause the entire
installation process to abend.

Fortunately, installing with the "DHCP/BOOTP" option, rather than enter in
network settings, allows me to complete the installation.

I'd imagine this same problem exists in the English version of 6.2.
