Hello:
I just tried installing the Japanese version of Red Hat 6.2 for x86
(obtained from ftp.redhat.com in /pub/redhat/redhat-6.2-ja/isos). I
booted from the CD, selected a "text" mode installation, choose "English"
installation messages, set up my partitions with Druid, chose a custom
install, selected my various packages, and began.
The installation procedure formatted all partitions, and then began the
install. Satisfied with the progress meter's progress, I went away for
awhile. When I returned there was an Anaconda error message dialog
box with several error messages (unfortunately, I didn't write them
down). I hit "debug" and entered what appeared to be gdb. At this point
I just hit "exit" and the installation terminated abnormally.
Is this problem only with the 6.2J version? <Sigh> First I couldn't
install using a kickstart floppy with 6.1J, now I can't even install from
the CD with 6.2J. :p I'm going to try again, and if the same thing
happens I'll write down the error messages and post as a followup.
Regards...
