I am trying to get my cd writer (HP 9300, IDE) working on Redhat 6.2. I have read the HOWTO and added the following lines to my conf.modules file: options ide-cd ignore=hdd alias scd0 sr_mod pre-install sg modprobe ide-scsi pre-install sr_mod modprobe ide-scsi But, it is not working. Is there something else I need to do? Recompiling the kernel was next on my list, but I wanted to make sure I am not missing something first. -Bryan Opfer -- To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject.
