I guess a better way to ask my question would have been "how do I make a
boot disk for a partitionless install of linux from windows or dos since the
installation will not use my ls-120?"

I can answer this with one word: Paranoid!! Windows is running great and I
don't want to risk messing it up. I have never resized a partition and just
thought I would try a partitionless install until I get the money for a
second disk.
