I used to have a script and I seem to no longer have it. :-( It has the syntax of rsh or rcmd and will execute a command on a remote machine. The difference is that it returns the exit status of the command. This is different from the way rsh works, which always returns a 0 (success) if it was able to execute the command on the remote machine. The only time that rsh returns a 1 (failure) is if the command was not even allowed to run. It did something with awk to somehow extract the exit code. Anyone have it or something like it?
