Arent there some parallel port CD-ROM drives around? If so, you could use
plip to get your setup going. You also may want to TRY the new install
from the windows partition. I understand that 6.2 offers a "loopback"
install which will run off of the windows partition. (I don't know how it
works. YMMV)
Have you looked and asked on the linux/iopener site that is devoted to
making the iopener into a "real" computer.
