I think that one is going to be rather difficult to do unless someone
personally has a copy of RH 5.1 with boot, supp, rescue disks. Why?
Because Red Hat 5.1 is so old it's not even supported by Red Hat except
by special contract.

I would suggest trying to get the 5.2 bootdisk and rescue disk from one
of the FTP sites and use that to log into your system,

Try the following...

make the 5.2 bootdisk, at startup tell it the root partition for your
drive like so

linux root=/dev/hda6 (this would work for my system as hda6 is my /
partition)

let it boot through and into your system. Once in, run the following

mkbootdisk /dev/fd0H1440 (Yes I know you can use /dev/fd0 but I have
personally seen the symlink get scrapped by mkbootdisk wehn you specify
a symlink instead of the actual link.)

That should write out your kernel to the disk and make a lilo pointer to
your / partition..

REboot the system to make sure the new boot disk works. Just put it into
the drive and follow the instructions.
