Mr. Brandon,
Has anyone else on the list responded to you yet? I just found a few more
posts and don't see responses. If so I apologize for repetitiveness, but
you'll find as you work with this more that you will get many different
answers to your questions.
I would recommend going with either 6.0 or 6.1, there are a few issues with
6.1, but most are easy to fix. I have not upgraded, but most likely will get
6.2 when it is released. I am not a programmer, but understand that 6.x uses
a newer version of some shared library than 5.1 as well, I don't remember
which one, but it is one of the key libraries. Again, update the Packages
you install by downloading them from a mirror of updates.redhat.com as this
increases security, but replacing packages vulnerable to crackers.
