I did make xconfig, make dep, make modules, make clean and then make
bzdisk and the make bzdisk craps out this error :
gcc: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 11

[root@localhost linux]# {standard input}: Assembler messages:
{standard input}:0: Warning: end of file not at end of a line; newline
inserted
cpp: output pipe has been closed
Any Idead how to fix this?
