Few quick questions....
- Where does gcc live within the RPM packages? There does not appear to
be a gcc-balh-blah.rpm. (I have a 5.x RH system, can I use the 6.x
RPMs? I am uncertain if the directory tree changed between 5 and 6.)
- If I compile gcc from source, do I need to change the default
paths for prefix, gxx-include, and local-include?
- If I use the glibc RPM does that include the libstdc++ stuff?
I have the source for gcc (plus bintools, texinfo, autoconf, automake), glib (w/
thread, crypt, locale) and libstdc++ so I can compile it all if I need to. Just want
to make sure it goes in the same spot that Redhat 5.x wants it in.
Thoughts?
