Hi All

I have a problem with missing colors when I try to open ghostview which
comes with the RedHat 6.1 CD.

>>gv
Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for "gray71"
Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for "AntiqueWhite3"
Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for "AntiqueWhite2"
Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for "AntiqueWhite4"
Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for "gray65"
Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for "gray90"
Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for "gray78"
Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for "#D3B5B5"
Warning: Cannot allocate colormap entry for
"gray58"

The version of ghostview is gv-3.5.8-7, and the accompanying ghostscript
is ghostscript-5.10-10.

I have tried to close all other applications (such as netscape etc) that
use colors, but the above error still comes up. There seems to be
nothing in the documentation referring to the inability to allocate the
colormap. Apparently it is a real problem as some of the users here tell
me that their color images in postscript files do not render properly
anymore.

Anyone has seen this problem before? Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Hugo
