Ha! I FOUND IT!!! She finally let me have at it...
<ahem> I assume it was she (although it coulda been me, but I won't
admit it) that tried the 'cat' >lp business and copied a file into
/dev/lp as there was text inside of it... <cackles> so I erased it and
restarted lpd. NOW! it finds lp0 and uses IRQ 7 (which had been used by
the sound card (which I fixed)) and the printer should cough a little. I
was schoo'd away again so that Calamity can beat on it some more. She's
hellbent on doing it on her own. We're both very much alike. :) Ric
