Let me correct this : you WILL be able to use it as a regular SCSI cdrom
by using the generic sg devices.
Once again, I did it some time ago and I don't remember what I did.
But I am quite sure that enabling generic
scsi in the kernel will give you normal access to your drive as a cdrom.
(somebody correct me on this ??)
