Hrm. Stuff fsck saves for you is put in /lost+found
This is probably the root user's bash profile file, so you might have
wanted to keep that ;) Re-create it from /etc/skel.
(On some configurations, root's homedir is /, on others it is /root,
it looks like it's / on your system)

That indicates that at some point (hopefully by accident), you ran
gnome as root.
Feel free to delete these files, and don't run gnome or X as root :)
