I asked my ISP what terminal equipment and what authentication schemes
their system would accept. Their only reply was the plain text
username and password story. I was hoping someone with WinNT
experience would be able to shed some SUCCESSFUL detailed light on the
subject.
If there are good WinNT mailing lists or newsgroups, it would be
helpful.
I've tried PAP and CHAP and neither of them work. The ISP is using
the latest version of WinNT. Somehow there must be a SUCCESSFUL way
of authenticating my username and password with the ISP, but I know of
none.
