I've rebooted and the problem still exists. I don't recall if I've just done
it from the cmdline w/o X running. I use ctwm, so there's no fancy-dancy
"helpful" utility for detecting new media on the system and starting up an
app.
Did you install 6.1 from scratch or upgrade?
