sent this a couple of times. hope someone knows
something about this.
i recently installed an adaptec scsi controller, and a
yamaha cd-rw on my rh5.2 box. i was putting on a
fresh install, all was found by the install program.
i installed and ran xcdroast and was able to burn a cd
no problem. well, couple of days later, i tried to
open the cd and it would not open. i used the eject
command it it worked. when i try to burn a cd now i
get this error in /var/log/messages.

now, i can mount the cd no problem, and view contents.
also, i am receiving a weird termination error in my
dmesg that may be related. any ideas? i am stumped.
