Is there really no solution for this? Sorry for asking again, but I couldn't get any answer to this. Please if this is impossible to do , tell me and I will quit searching and keep on typing "kill -9 .. ". Here is my problem.. I run an interbase database server on Redhat6.1 and Windows clients connect to it.Sometimes I see that some connections are lost becaause of crashing clients,or bad network conditions. After this, I see that the attachment process isn't killed automatically. I need to get rid of that processes because they get a lot of cpu time. What do I need to do in order to kill a process automatically having a time like this? PID USER PRI NI SIZE RSS SHARE STAT LIB %CPU %MEM TIME COMMAND 7051 root 0 0 3136 3136 60 R 0 81.4 2.7 120:45 gds_inet_server tia -- To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject.
