Hi,

I try to be calm on this list, but I'm at the end of my rope on this
one. Is anyone else thinking that up2date is a hunk of junk? I bought
the official Red Hat 6.1 Deluxe for the added support features like
phone support and up2date. I've installed the latest up2date I could
find, 1.0.7-1. Still, I'm getting nowhere. up2date totally hangs on
"Retrieving package list...". Once, I got a little farther, and it hung
on "Launching Netscape for package selection...". What does it take to
get up2date working? I think I have it configured correctly. In the
beginning, I thought I may have screwed up my username and password.
But when I use entries that I know are wrong, I get authentication error
messages. Now, it's simply hanging with no error messages. I thought
it might be a problem with the NT gateway, but I've had the same
problems whether going through our NT box or dialing straight out of the
Linux machine. Thanks,

Hidong
