I did it using RPMs ..... just rebuild the source luke.......
I used plain apache (1.3.7 at the time I think)
openssl
ldap
php3
mysql
postgresql
I rebuilt all the above RPMs , installed and viola......
Jason costomiris has posted a detailed step by step as well, why not use it
