Your error message
ide0: reset: success
hda: status timeout: status=0xd0 { Busy }
hda: no DRQ after issuing WRITE

I had this on two brand new computers
so hopefully it does not mean you have a bad drive
This is the solution that I used to fix this
I looked in my bios it has
IDE PRIMARY MASTER PIO AUTO
IDE PRIMARY SLAVE  PIO AUTO
IDE PRIMARY MASTER UDMA AUTO
IDE PRIMARY SLAVE  UDMA AUTO
Change the UDMA lines to disabled
and leave the PIO lines AUTO .
This fixed it on 2 of by boxes
.     Linda
