Ahh... I think your problem has to do with Netscape's buggy java
implementation. You can certainly try running your applet under the jdk java
interpreter in linux to ensure that you don't have any platform dependency
issues, and what'll happen is you'll see your app in the appletviewer that's
included in the jdk, using X, of course. What I'd bet is that it'll work
fine, indicating that you need to upgrade Netscape.
