I did not use the CD, I just downloaded the install from their FTP site
and burned my own (ah those cable modems!).  I never read any of the
documentation.  The Java installation made it seem almost exactly the same
as the NT installs that I had done previously.  The only major problem
that I had was the inability to set up SIDs without Java quitting on me.
I had to edit those files by hand.


VERY VERY VERY important!  Use the right version of JRE (1.1.6 i think)
and nothing newer or older.  That seems to be the key to getting 8i to
have ANY prayer of working.
