I don't know where you have been looking, but there are no problems with
the css (auth and encryption) code in linux .. except for being a little
awkward
to use.
The main problems at the moment are trying to figure out the IFO file format
and getting an optimized mpeg2 player -- hopefully using some hardware
acceleration -- probably very limited though, due to the usual
Windows-centric
attitude of hardware manufacturers.
check out the LiVID dvd mailing list to see where they're at .. latest
sources
can be gotten from their cvs repository.
